Creating value instead of gifts: this year, the 4iG Group will once again support the work of medical professionals with digital development worth HUF 60 million

  • The 4iG Group places great importance on supporting initiatives that promote a knowledge-based digital economy, equal opportunities and prosperity. To this end, this year the Group will once again redirect the funds it would normally spend on gifts for business partners to charitable purposes, supporting the foundations of Semmelweis University with HUF 35 million and the Bliss Foundation with HUF 25 million.
  • Semmelweis University will use the donation to establish a new digital training centre in the Tűzoltó Street Paediatrics Clinic, where, in addition to training doctors and medics, parents of children in need of long-term home care will also receive training. In addition, all digital and IT equipment, as well as the electrical and communication networks of the outpatient clinic will be upgraded to better serve the young patients visiting for examinations.
  • The Bliss Foundation is investing HUF 25 million in digital therapeutic educational tools to enhance communication skills for children with multiple disabilities and speech impairments.

In addition to its ongoing support of Semmelweis University’s Paediatrics Clinic on Tűzoltó Street, the 4iG Group will also donate a significant sum to the Bliss Foundation for the education of children with disabilities.

Continuing the tradition of past years, the 4iG Group allocates the budget for business partner gifts to charitable causes. This year, the Group will support two organisations: the Semmelweis University Foundation with HUF 35 million and the Bliss Foundation, which helps children with speech and language impairments communicate using digital devices, with HUF 25 million.

Péter Fekete, CEO of 4iG Group, stated at the presentation of the grant to Semmelweis University: "We believe that supporting the future generation is the best investment, which is why the digitisation of education and healthcare is not only a key project for the 4iG Group, but also a solid foundation for a sustainable future. With the continued support of Semmelweis University, our aim is to develop a strategic partnership that underscores our commitment to the vital healing work that takes place in our institutions. In recent years, our Group has made significant effort towards the digitalisation of Hungarian healthcare, and we are confident that this support will contribute to the long-term medical and educational work of Semmelweis University and the digital development of the Paediatrics Clinic."

The 4iG Group's donation will be used by Semmelweis University's foundations—the Semmelweis University Foundation and the Őrzők Public Foundation—to upgrade the IT and electronics of the outpatient clinic of the Tűzoltó Street building and to establish a new digital learning centre.

The Group is building a long-term partnership with Semmelweis University to enhance the daily well-being of patients and staff, while also supporting the digital development of future generations.

Dr Béla Merkely, Rector of Semmelweis University emphasised: "Our goal is for future generations of doctors to far surpass our current knowledge, thanks to the opportunities offered by digitalisation in research, diagnostics, therapy, patient education and remote patient monitoring. Both the Paediatrics Clinic and the University excel in patient care and education, and the institution is taking every opportunity to improve the latter."

Another 4iG Group beneficiary, the Bliss Foundation, operates a so-called Augmentative and Alternative Communication Centre (AACC) for people with multiple disabilities and speech impairments. Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) is a broad term encompassing complementary communication methods, tools and techniques. Since it can help people with severe speech impairments express themselves, AAC "makes the unspeakable visible". AAC methods and tools help people with disabilities communicate with their environment, significantly improving their quality of life. The Foundation's staff work to empower people with disabilities to express themselves, facilitating their integration into society. Bliss will use the donation to acquire digital tools that support special education.
